Electrical Project Manager – Commercial & Industrial Construction – Houston, TX

Tekna Search is recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager in Houston, Texas to lead and manage electrical construction projects from inception through to completion. This role is with an established electrical contractor delivering large-scale commercial, industrial and solar construction projects across the Houston area.

The Electrical Project Manager will take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring regular site presence and close coordination with engineering teams, subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities Manage electrical construction projects from planning through to completion Develop and monitor project plans, schedules and budgets Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors and vendors to ensure seamless project delivery Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve issues Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations and industry standards Prepare project reports, documentation and stakeholder updates Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies Mentor and support junior project team members

Requirements Minimum 8 years experience in electrical construction project management Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes and safety regulations Experience managing project budgets, schedules and resources Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera PMP or equivalent certification preferred Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills
